Sacrifice before victory in the digital age has become apparent within today’s malnourished music industry. A manipulation is upon the technological Hip-Hop era. New genres mashed and fused are reaching uncompromisable levels of never before heard noises and emotions. Imitators may be waning in the face of too much emphasis on making a statement, and not enough drive to deliver self-determined quality. The fusion of story telling and artistic drive are now written instead of lived. Lost in blogs, easily washed up on the shore of your desk, while surfing through waves of mediocre artists. But don’t count digital crusaders dead and out. Rather embrace these advances, looking to a new era of talent with discipline, determination, sense of self, and commitment to craft. Look to Chae Hawk. Here you’ll hear and see the soul of a poet embraced by the body of a natural-born entertainer.
Once again, as promised, here is the download of the week. This is the third installment of new joints we’re releasing leading up to the single. I’ve been working hard in the studio and can’t wait for you to hear what we got.
For those of you that made it out to last nights NYC show at SOB’s…Thank you and much thanks to B.o.B and his crew for letting us share the stage! For those that couldn’t make it…hopefully they’ll be shows in your area soon… so stay tuned.
